Common Fixture Jobs
These are examples of accessible, fixture-level work that fits handyman scope.
Dripping Faucet
A faucet that drips from the spout may have an accessible worn washer, O-ring, or cartridge.
The Fix: Inspect the fixture and replace the accessible component when a standard part is available.
Running Toilet
A toilet that runs constantly or cycles on its own often has a worn component inside the tank.
The Fix: Replace accessible tank components such as the flapper or fill valve when appropriate.
Loose Fixture
A loose faucet, showerhead, handle, or trim piece can make an otherwise sound fixture difficult to use.
The Fix: Resecure or replace the exposed fixture component without opening the wall.
Worn Fixture Caulk
Cracked or separated caulk around a sink, tub, or shower fixture can leave an untidy gap.
The Fix: Remove failed surface caulk and apply a clean new bead around the fixture.
Straight Pricing
Most light plumbing and fixture jobs run $75-200 depending on the job. I charge $75/hour with a one-hour minimum, and I'll tell you exactly what to expect before I start any work.
I do not open walls or take on work that requires a permit. In-wall or permit-required work should go to a licensed plumber.
